WordPress MU

Main blog works, going through the "create blog and user" works (or appears to) but while the user is created, the blog isn't. Tried creating blog independently and I get the notification mail, but not blog, just a 404 when I visit http://blogs.sub.domain.tld/newblog (i chose /subdirs instead of subdomain.sub.domain.tld because i've already got a longish domain). Where would the new sub-sites' info be stored?

centOS, apache2, mysql5, php5, fresh install of everything.

Info is all stored int eh database.

Double-check the main blog's permalinks. Fi they also don't work, you need to edit Apache settings so it will read the htaccess file.

(I always forget it exactly, it's AllowFile Override All or somesuch.)
