realsolI am looking for a way to make a drill down category widget.
I want to make a list of parent categories. Their sub categories would be a list of categories that also include the parent.
In other words, if a user assigns a post categories of cat1, cat3 and cat5, if the click on cat3 categories in the widget, the subs would be cat1 & cat5. Or, if they click on cat5, the sub categories displayed would be cat1 & cat3. Basically, all subs would not really be wordpress subcategories, but a list of all categories that have been assigned with the top category.
I hope this makes sense. Seems like a natural way to display any type of category so I am sure their is a way to do this, but I am just missing it.
